Andreas Liebl has been Medical Director of the Centre for Diabetes and Metabolism at the Fachklinik in Bad Heilbrunn since the year 2000. He is Vice President of the Working Group ‘Diabetes Technology – Insulin Pumps and Blood Glucose Sensors’ of the Germany Diabetes Association (DDG), and was on the Scientific Board of the AIDPIT group at the European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD).
He is currently serving as one of the chairmen of the Bavarian Diabetes Committee at the DDG. Dr Liebl has prepared numerous international and national publications and presentations at scientific meetings, mainly on the topics of insulin therapy, oral antidiabetic drugs, pharmacoeconomics, insulin pump therapy, diabetic foot syndrome and intraperitoneal insulin therapy.
